Out the front door and turn left ...

... or when your sense of direction fails you

Sutter St, San Francisco is an open, wide-ish street. The Hotel Carlton has an attractive black and white striped awning. We tumbled out of the bus and collected our luggage.

Entering the foyer I was pleased and thankful. The Carlton has a lovely style, modern and eclectic and we straightaway warmed to the staff. I think they were possibly Phillipinos - everyone was great. Our check-in guy was quite the joker but then he straightaway recommended going on a bus tour of the city as we were there for only 2 full days. After we headed up to the room we decided pretty quickly to go ahead so Vlado went down to tee it all up.
